The audacity of NBC putting a new time slot of Jay Leno has stirred up negative feelings by the networks. First, the other networks were STRONGLY encouraging their TV show stars from appearing as guest on the 10pm show. Now, the 11 o'clock news is the new complainer. They claim that the Leno show is not giving them the lead in that they would usually get from a high drama. I call bullshit. Who watches the 11 o'clock news anymore? Leno's low ratings are not the problem. I'm not sure what the fuss is about having a talk show at 10pm, the networks (even NBC) are acting like it's the apocalypse that the Mayan's predicted. NBC did it to save money, which they should be grateful because they're 4th place right now. They try to be inventive and apparently they went too far for their own comfort level. How outrageous is it to have a talk show at 10pm? Not that crazy TV people. CALM DOWN!

TV Gets Too Inventive For It's Own Good

Guy Style Crush: Justin Theroux

And one for the ladies ;)

What do you think of his style?
Flexing a Mature Style on "Accidentally on Purpose"
Jenna Elfman is starring in a new comedy, "Accidentally on Purpose" on CBS. In a nutshell, it is about a 37 year old writer at the San Francisco Chronicle who got knocked up by a 20 something wannabe chef on a one night stand. I have been really liking her style on the show. It is sophisticated but still fun. She has to dress appropriately for work, but is never too dull. Jenna Elfman's character, "Billy," is styled by her costume director from "Dharma & Greg." I'm glad she kept her stylist around when she got another gig. Don't worry Ms. Bass wasn't jobless in between. She styled the movie "Crash" and some episodes of "Grey's Anatomy."
Being a writer myself, I guess I have a soft spot for Jenna's character. But if I was to hold a job at a such an esteemed publication, I would definitely want to have her style. There are rumors going around that the show is going to get canceled. Yes, its not the "smartest" comedy on TV right now, but it is better than watching the Real Housewives. I hope it finishes out the season at least! Plus the guy who plays her young baby daddy has great abs! We'll just have to stay tuned to find out.

10 Worst 80s Fashion Trends That Keep Coming Back! Part 2

6: Bold Shoulder. It is coming back in a big way for Fall. And I am none to please about it. People like to liken it more to a robotic, futuristic look. But people let’s just call it what it is… a shoulder pad! So gross and so unnecessary. Girls with a cute frame make themselves into a triangle. Fun for the editorial spreads, but not for getting groceries.

7: Western. Now I am not opposed to a cowboy boot here or a plaid button up here. It is when the whole look is a complete John Wayne movie that I cringe. Don’t overdo it on the Old West style folks.
8: Blue Eyeshadow. In many editorials there is the smoky eye for Fall with blue hues. I thought it was a great look and asked my friend (who is in beauty school) to try it for my birthday. I looked like a cross of Cleopatra on crack and Mimi from the Drew Carey show. I say keep this trend to the editorial pages ladies.

9: Tartan Plaid. This was a "punk" trend starting with the Sex Pistols front man Johnny Rotten. Yet somehow fashionistas who don't even know who he is are wearing it. Sometimes its in too high of a dose. Plaid should be kept neutral in an outfit. NEVER MIX PLAID WITH STRIPES!
10: Slashed Up Jeans. Now even leggings are the razor treatment. What are you trying to look like? A ripped stocking is the look of hookers on the street. It's not a cute trend to have a hint of your ass showing.
Hope you enjoyed. Remember, this is just list. If these are part of your style then keep on rocking them. They always good in small doses and the eighties gave us some great looks!
