Leighton Meester Tries Menswear!

Leighton showed up to the 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in NYC wearing *gasp* a suit. I love that! I'm a huge fan of women wearing menswear or menswear inspired pieces. Also, this is an "independent" event so she could be a little more hip with her style choices. It's not a serious red carpet where she has to wear the hottest designer dress (or bad lace jumpsuit).

I liked her makeup (although she looked like she had bags), but not sure I like the green clutch with the look. Maybe a brighter colored shoe?

But I like that she takes risks. I definitely am more of a Leighton than a Blake.

I think she's rocking the look. I wasn't a huge fan at first glance but she's one of the only girls to pull off this look well. I agree though: she needs brighter shoes.
