The first presentation of Fashion Week I attended was Obakki's Fall/Winter 2012 presentation at the Midtown Lofts. They are a Canadian fashion house that is described as being "effortlessly cool." Celebrity fans include Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Tyra Banks, and Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast (love that a blogger is listed as a celebrity!). They have an online retail store which includes some reasonably priced items including dresses around $175. They are also available in retail stores around the world including Shopbop and Ron Herman.
The show began with a short film which featured the designer explaining that why she is so passionate about fashion is because she can tell a story. The models walked on broken stone and sand to compliment the earth tones of the clothes. I loved the diversity among the models. The last look was this beautiful dress that moved so well:
I also loved the accessories...
I'm obsessed with this necklace
Stacked bangles
Loved the wedge booties
Stay tuned for more New York Fashion Week coverage!

I like the booties but I love how they work seamlessly with the legging pants too. Nice review!
