I've decided that my summer makeup look is going to look something like this. Too often I hide my freckles and I think I need to show them off more. So often when I see a girl with flawless skin and ask "what's your secret?" her response is either NO makeup EVER or barely ever. Gah! I'm still young so I should enjoy my healthy skin while it lasts so in an attempt to let my skin breathe during the warm months (it's already hit 80 degrees here in NYC!), I'm going to keep my makeup to a minimum and go as bare as possible. I often don't wear makeup on the weekends or when I know I'm not going to run into anyone. The challenge is going to be when going to events and nights outs when I like to go bold.
Now I have dark circles since my skin is so fair so I don't think I could go completely bare but the products I plan to use are:
- BareMinerals Mineral Veil as a light powder foundation
- RMS "Un"Cover Up in 11 (the lightest shade) for my dark circles
- Revlon's Just Bitten lip stain in "Passion" to add more color to my lips
- CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion mascara in Dark Brown for a more fresh/daytime look

i am freckle face since girlhood, but at 49, i can't pull that look off anymore, wish i still could - so fresh!!

DeleteI love freckles, it's so beautiful! You're lucky:) I also love to keep my make-up looking dewey for summer, only with black lashes and coral or pink lip gloss, and a swirl of bronzer. I have a rosy complexion so I don't really need much make-up.
ReplyDeleteAww thank you, most people don't like their freckles! I have rosy cheeks as well so don't ever need blush. I'm more concerned abou the dark circles under my eyes :/

DeleteI tend to go as bare as possible with my make up too. I've only started using primer for when my skin looks a bit dull, but apart from that I very rarely have anything on my face...apart from eyeliner.
