Review: Simple Skincare
I had the chance to try two products by Simple skincare. I've been wanting to try their products since I have really sensitive skin and they pride themselves on never using harsh irritants. They use natural products, no perfumes, no dyes and believe "natural beauty comes from goodness." They were originally a UK brand but are making their way to the states and I couldn't be happier. Here are the two products I got to try:
Cleansing Facial Wipes included 25 wipes that are 7 by 7.5". I've tried quite a few wipes in my time: Comodynes makeup remover wipes from Trader Joe's, LA Fresh's Waterproof Makeup Remover wipes from Birchbox, e.l.f's Makeup Remover Cleansing cloths, and Pond's Makeup Removing Towlettes. These were somewhere in the middle.
It claims to remove waterproof mascara but it didn't do the best job as you can see by my cotton ball.
Replenishing Rich Moisturizer which contains vital vitamins, skin loving nutrients and no perfumes or dyes. Pro-Vitamin B5 helps restore, soften and smooth. Going along with the name there are no harsh irritants that can upset your skin. Dermatologist tested. Noncomedogenic. Hypoallergenic. I never thought I'd find a facial moisturizer better than Cetaphil but I did! I really love this stuff. It's rich and creamy, leaves my skin feeling really soft and moisturized all day.
I was going through a bad breakout when I tried these products and they definitely helped.
Have you tried Simple skincare products? What are your thoughts?

Not yet but I've seen it around!
ReplyDeleteI tried Cetaphil which is great but I just got tired of the smell. Lol
haha it doesn't have much of a smell
Deletewhich type for the one of setaphil
DeleteI got a small sample of the Refreshing Facial Wash Gel by Simple... I really loved it! I usually use Cetaphil and the gel was a nice change from the usual Cetaphil cleanser feeling. It's pretty nice and I'd be curious to try the other products! The price is great, too.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Danielle

Yeah I want to try the other products too :)
DeleteI just got this Klout perk in the mail the other day too but have yet to try it. My face gets greasy throughout the day so I hardly use moisturizer, especially since it seems to make me break out -- maybe this one won't. Will have to try to see.
ReplyDeleteIt shouldn't. I also recommend Cetaphil which doesn't make your face greasy since it's meant for teens who are breaking out.
DeleteThanks for your review. I wanted to get this Klout perk! Haven't tried the brand yet though.
ReplyDeleteAw you should, they're not that expensive!
DeleteSimple is definitely a huge brand in the UK, and one that I trust the most. I had another set of their wipes, which were amazing. And I love how light their products are.
ReplyDeleteYes I believe I saw a review from you. I need to try more!
DeleteI've definitely seen the commercials and wondered how good they were! My skin is super duper sensitive these days so I'm on the hunt for some good stuff. I may try out that moisturizer when my other one runs out!
ReplyDeleteLet me know how you like it!
Deletejust opened my box and tried these products yesterday. i like to use new products at least a week before i feel like i have really seen what they can do, so my review is forthcoming but i do love that the moisturizer is not oily.
ReplyDeleteYEY!
Deletegreat review :) I've heard really great things about this line!
ReplyDeleteThanks - I really like it!
DeleteI've just tried the Cleanser for the very first time just now and the next step is "Toner". Unfortunately, while I was is London last weekend, I did not pick it up! Major Bummer! All I picked up was the cleanser and the lotion. So at my attempt to find all the products in this range of Simple Products, I came across your Blog (which I'm loving by the way). Hopefully, I can get my hands on the rest of this line!

ReplyDeleteI'm not a a fan of toner... I think you could get away with it :)
DeleteAw thanks for your sweet comment!
I've tried this product 3 times (the moisturizer) within the past 4 months on separate occasions. Each time, by the end of each of those days, my face was swollen and broken out in hives. I've battled sensitive skin and eczema my whole life, and I've been fine, until I've used this product. Each time I've attempted, it's sent me running to my dermatologist for a steroid fix to get rid of it. I tried it for the last time yesterday and cried myself to sleep from pain and frustration. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. CeraVe is what I'm sticking to!
ReplyDeleteI would say that it sounds like you need some medicated stuff
DeleteMy skin is dry and sensitive can i use this product..??
ReplyDeleteYes. That's what the product is designed for.
DeleteDid it truly clear up your breakout & how soon did it clear up? I want to try this product & have a little breakout on my forehead right now
ReplyDeleteI used the lotion. I used Cetaphil and Aveeno as my cleanser. The combination together helped clear it up. It took a few days. The lotion is definitely great for sensitive skin and doesn't clog pores.
