TWO WORDS: PIXY STIXS! The ladies over at Julep Maven get me. Love that they include sweets each month in the box. I haven't had pixy stixs in ages. This month's box was about being bold. "It's the season to make a statement with your fashion and color. Do what you're afraid to do - you might surprise yourself!" Love this idea and this month's nail polishes were definitely bold.
They included a cute quote from Katharine Hepburn!
I received:
- 2 nail polishes: Lily (fuchsia) and Courtney (key-lime green)
- Julep's Daylight Defense SPF 30 Cream (3 fl oz) - Vitamin E hydrates skin and strengthens nails, while built-in SPF helps guard against fine lines and sun spots. I'm all about SPF!
- Julep's Daylight Defense SPF 15 Lip balm - It is vanilla mint flavored so it smells good - hope I don't keep licking it off.
- Extras: 2 pixy stixs and two extra nail polish brushes

Courtney isn't a green I would pick for myself or a color I would think to wear in the summer. But like Katharine said, perhaps I should give it a try!
I had high hopes for Lily. It looked so pretty in the bottle but it came out very matte and dark.
What bold colors do you like to wear in the summer?

I can see what you mean about the green polish, the other one looks pretty but perhaps not a typical summer colour. My favourite nail colour for summer would be coral, but I'm planning on trying mint or turqouise this year!
ReplyDeleteYeah I thought it would be a much brighter purple for summer but turned out really dark :( Coral is usually my go to nail color as well!!
DeleteLove the green polish! and yes, it is messy lol
ReplyDeletelmao I was in a hurry :p
DeleteI really love the lime color! As monthly boxes go I feel like Julep Maven has a great bang for the buck!
ReplyDeleteThey really do considering each nail polish costs $14!
DeleteI want to start subscribing to this!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I'm intrigued by that green color! I'm with you, I probably wouldn't pick it either but I'm curious to see what it would look like on me!
