Saturday: We literally spent the whole day apartment hunting. We were out from 10:30 - 5:30 trying to help my brother find a new place in the city. Apartment hunting in Manhattan is no joke. Apartments disappear within an hour. There's such a high demand that realtors don't need to be nice or accommodating. We weren't very successful so we'll be looking at more this week! After a long exhausting day of looking at apartments, we headed down to Jersey.
Sunday: We celebrated my aunt's birthday with a family BBQ full of bbq chicken, corn on the cob, macaroni salad and watermelon. My cousin also brought over her new dog which she rescued, Rosie. She was the sweetest thing (p.s. the chubby dachshund is my mom's dog). For dessert there was chocolate cake from Billy's Bakery and the world's greatest chipwich (in my opinion) from Hoffman's. I crave them constantly!
Sunday night: I watched the finale of The Bachelorette (there's nothing else on!). I won't spoil anything with names but I will say that I agree with her choice and so happy with her final decision! After that was another episode of Breaking Bad! Last week I had mentioned the show and some of you had asked about it. For those who don't know, it's a show on AMC on Sunday nights at 10pm. It stars Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle fame) who is a chemistry teacher diagnosed with cancer. In order to make money for his family he teams up with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (played by Aaron Paul) to cook meth. The development of these character is so amazing. There's a reason it was nominated for 13 Emmys this year (and always gets top nominations). I say it's one of the best - hope you tune in!
