During the week I had my former LA roomie in town visiting me. We lived together for nearly two years while we both attended
FIDM in Los Angeles; however, after graduation she had to move back to the Philippines. I see her about once a year when she's in town to meet with buyers. It was really great to have an old friend in town and we always pick up where we left off even though we haven't lived together in nearly 7 years. Took her to some of my favorite spots in my neighborhood like
The Smith.

We also hit up my favorite baklava place in the city,
Güllüoğlu. Don't ask me how to pronounce it! I got my typical walnut baklava:

Saturday: I got together with Nnenna of Star Crossed Smile and Alex of Delayed Missives for some brunch and thrift shopping as a blogiversary/early birthday celebration. We went to Lil' Frankies in the East Village where I had delicious (but massive) French Toast. We wandered and hit up a few thrift stores. Didn't end up buying anything though since the weather became quite gloomy.

Sunday: I caught up on a lot of work I needed to do since I fell behind with my friend in town. I also scheduled some of guest posts while I'm out of town later in the week - look out for those! Also tuned into my favorite show Breaking Bad! Walt is getting so evil... it's only a matter of time until someone snaps.
