I Don't... (A Little Poem)

I used to write a lot of poetry when I was younger. I was inspired to write about the things I don't do or have. Hopefully you'll get to know me a little better. Enjoy!

Some may think what you don't do makes you boring
And the story may leave you snoring.
However, I think the don'ts make you one of a kind
Among a sea of similar minds.
So gather around children, zip it, listen!
And let the story begin...



I don't have a middle name
And you may think that is lame.
However, some have Anne Marie Penny
And that's just too many.
I like that my name doesn't end in a Y,
But instead the Es decided to multiply.

I don't drink coffee, not black, not with cream, not anything trendy
Just never liked the taste so I prefer in my cup a spot of tea.

I don't like alcohol in my drink,
But I like my Shirley Temples pink.

I don't like smoke
Because the smell makes me choke.

I don't have any piercings including my ears,
Why would I want pain that brings my eyes to tears?

I don't have any tattoos
Although I want to.
I have plenty of scars from all of my surgeries,
And I quite frankly think they tell better stories.
