Yes... another box (lol!). I read about Beauty Box 5 on another blog and since I haven't found the perfect glass slipper when it comes to beauty subscription sites, I thought I'd give it a try. For $12, you receive 4-5 samples. When I registered at the end of July, they informed me that my August box would ship middle of the month. To me that translates to the 15th. So when I hadn't heard anything about the status of my box this weekend, I reached out. The customer care representative who responded was very short with me. The box shipped on 20th and I received it yesterday. Quick shipping when it did eventually ship. Let's see what I got:
Blum Naturals Make-Up Remover Towlettes (3 samples/30 pack $7.49) | Freeman Anti-Stress Dead Sea Minerals Face Mask (2 samples/ $1.99) | Ferro Cosmetics Sheer Crystal Veil (.14 oz $19) | H20 Plus Marine Calm Restorative Eye Cream (.13 fl oz/.5 oz $32) | Ellis Fass Milky Lips (.95 oz $35)
Blum Naturals Pro Age Towelettes are infused with natural and organic botanicals that gently remove eye and face makeup. Infused with organic grape seed extract that contains no synthetic preservatives or fragrances, paraben-free, no SLS, alcohol free, hypoallergenic, and PH Balanced. These towlettes were very gentle, a large size to remove all the makeup on your face. Not the best at eye makeup though.
A pretty blue color! I love Freeman face masks as much as the next girl but these are $1.99 so not worth it in a $12 box.

| Acts as a highlighter |
Never heard of Ferro Cosmetics but they are paraben, cruelty and chemical free. This veil livens your complexion and adds vibrancy to mattifying products to give subtle brightness. Works wonderfully under or over foundation, under eyes to brighten, and mixed into moisturizer for a dewy soft finish. According to the site this is the full size which I think is quite tiny for $20.
This eye cream contains Japanese green tea, Paraguay tea and aloe vera to soothe sensitive skin and calm redness. Free of parabens, dyes and fragrances. The moisture-intensive cream deeply nourishes and helps reduces the look of fine lines. I've been sensitive to under eye creams in the past but had no issues with this one.
Another beauty brand I never heard of but appreciate the full-size sample. I received this tan brown color. It's described as a highly-pigmented glossy lipstick. It's a very cool demo of how to use it as a stain or how to layer it for a richer color. I definitely would want to try another color more suited for my skin tone.

I love that you try all of the beauty boxes! Not sure about this one, some really random brands! I am still contemplating Glossy Box, my Mom subscribes and loves it!
ReplyDeletehaha I have an addiction. Aw love that your mom subscribes to beauty boxes hehe
DeleteHmm, interesting mix here. I think I'm done with the beauty boxes, they are fun but they are so hit and miss that I would rather put that $ aside and use it for something else. I love reading about them though ;o)

DeleteHaha - how cute are you with that mask on your face?! I think this is my favorite pic of you. :)
ReplyDeletehaha really? Should I make it my profile pic :p
DeleteI like the sound of the Ferro cosmetics product, I think these powders / veils are perfect for setting foundation and giving you a great 'sheer' complexion.
