Fashion and style for men for Autumn/Winter 2012 is starting to hit stores everywhere. With so many inspirational designs and style to try out, how are you going to separate the hot style from the not so stylish?
We looked at the top five trends for this fall, and what you should be doing to make sure you have a piece of the stylish action.
If there was ever an award for a design idea that had previously been so strongly dismissed only to one day be a leading trend, then it is surely going to be awarded to this.
For many years, people have recoiled at the thought of having a bird, horse, fox, or another wild animal motif adorning the front of their attire. Yet somehow, someway, these are going to be massive at the end of 2012. I do not just mean novelty clothes for Christmas either, animal prints are heading to t-shirts in a store near you, so get ready for them!
2. Leather Jackets
Oh, thank you Mr Justin Bieber. It is not enough that every other account on social media has your name somewhere attached to it, but you are also now responsible for half of the stuff men will be wearing this fall. Thankfully he is not the designer, however leather, and specifically bomber jackets, are celebrity inspired and a trend led by Bieber himself.
To avoid unfortunate comparisons and similarities in appearance, go for longer, belted options rather than the fitted bomber.
This has been the must have accessory throughout 2012 and will remain so until the end of the year. Rather than go for urban styles from brands such as New Era, shop around and go for a stylish snapback mesh trucker hat instead.
Now we’ll be the first to admit that this one is a bit of a surprise to us, however wide leg trousers are going to be very fashionable at the end of the year. Go for a sophisticated look, with tan and beige shades being the most in vogue and giving the best opportunities for building a distinctive look. If chinos and denims begin to wear thin for you, give wide leg trousers a chance this fall.
Apparently, fashion at the end of 2012 is throwing away all of the historical principles of what good style is all about. Going a size too big is still best avoided, but common trends this fall and into 2013 will see clothes produced in bigger, more relaxed styles to give an oversize feel and appearance.
