NOLCHA Fashion Week is the leading event for independent fashion designers to showcase their collections in New York City. It happens one day during Fashion Week with 17 designers showcasing this year ranging from couture, ready-to-wear, evening wear, lingerie and streetwear. In it's 6th year, they present several designers in one show back to back. Designers are from all over the world which makes for great diversity on the runways. This year, for the first time ever, they presented a menswear only show which I thought was terrific. Here are some highlights:
Gulschachereli: Loved the mix of femininity and masculine pieces. The nude with aqua was a gorgeous color combination.
Angelys Balek: Edgy baby doll dresses with cool cut-outs and leather accents.Dany Tabet "Aisha x Artini": Gorgeous evening gowns with lots of sequins and cut-outs.
FireTrap: I'd date a guy who wore any of these looks!
Richard Smith Prêt à Porter: Dapper dudes in modern suiting.
Which collection was your favorite?

I'm so going to this next year, burnout be damned. P.S. do you know what Nolcha stands for?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely should. Nolcha is just the name the founders gave it, not an acronym.
DeleteLove the menswear collections. Would love to attend a men fashion week. That would be awesome!
