I always enjoy going to
Venexiana runway shows because Kati Stern offsets the high glamour of the gowns with punk rock music (The Ramones are always on the playlist!). I definitely want to party with her. Season after season she delivers high glamour.
In the Fall she did fur when many were still afraid to send it down the runway. She showed 72 looks with a majority being evening gowns. Here are some trends I spotted:
It was all about drama in the back. Some were super low cut, others had surprises waiting for us when the models turned around. I'm loving this trend.
Copper, gold, silver... all the metals were in full force. Kati Stern creates what I like to call "liquid gold" dresses season after season. Any girl would be lucky to wear one.
Blush pink is here to stay for Spring/Summer 2013. I love all 4 of these looks especially the 2 middle ones.
This first look is quintessential Venexiana to me. High slits were also a big trend. These were the showstoppers in my opinion.
She always does fabulous lashes! Most of the models' hair was twisted up in a low chignon with a dramatic eye.

DeleteI worked backstage of this show. The collection was massive but breathtaking. i just wish Kati made them more accessible to the common consumer.
