EFFEN Vodka Art of Design Event Recap

I had the pleasure of being invited to EFFEN® Vodka Art of Design event held at the Rooftop of the Empire Hotel. EFFEN is Dutch for "smooth" but definitely has a fun play on words. I attended with my good friend Nicole of Style Me BAD. It turned out to be a mini blogger reunion where I ran into Kitty Bradshaw, Janique of Her Goody Bag and the ladies of O So Chic. There were several top mixologists mixing their favorite drinks for attendees to vote on.

NBC's Fashion Star contestant Orly Shani was there showing off designs from her company, Tuc & Wes. I really loved her designs on the show so glad to see she's still doing big things!

Jewelry designer Brianna Fano was there showing off her gorgeous pieces. She attended Parsons and creates statement jewelry from fabulous materials such as leather. The clear necklace she's wearing is also one of hers - fabulous stuff!

I didn't think my outfit was anything special (it was raining so all inspiration went out the window) but I'm including it because got some questions about my lipstick. I'm absolutely loving the oxblood trend for fall so to get this burgundy shade I actually combined a purple lipstick and a dark red lipstick. I think it's a great way to make the trend work for you by mixing the perfect shade. Also, how awesome is this spiked ear cuff? I'm obsessed with it. I don't have pierced ears so it's a nice way to fancy up my lobes.
