Tips for using Sally Hansen Salon Effects:
- Make sure your nails are completely bare (no polish whatsoever!).
- Make sure nails are completely dry.
- Use a buffer (they provide one) to smooth the nail's surface.
- Push back cuticles (they provide a small cuticle stick)
- Start with the pinky and work towards the thumb nail. I've found you use your thumb nail a lot so it helps avoid chipping.
- Stretch the sticker to fit your nail properly. You are not conformed to the sizes they give, feel free to stretch it thinner.

I've gotten pretty good at them that I ended up not usually all the stickers in just ONE of the packets they provided. For step-by-step instructions on how to apply the nail stickers - read this post.
Here are some past Halloween nail looks I've done:

I like that you do your nails for Halloween. I love Sally Hansen nail strips, but I hate candy corn, so I guess I'll have to find a different style.
ReplyDeleteWhat? But candy corn are so cute hehe Love getting festive on my nails
DeleteSo cute! And those skull ones are awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteCute! I tried these for the first time this week and like them! I can't wait to get more.
ReplyDeleteBe careful... they're very addicting since they realize limited edition ones for every holiday :x
Deleteomg i have never seen the candy corn ones before! how cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks - love 'em!
DeleteI love all your halloween nails. The Candy corn looks great on them. We don't have it here, but my friend has just moved to LA and says that candy corn is the greatest!
ReplyDeletehaha shipping them in ;)
DeleteThe candy corn nails are so cute! I tried the Prabal Gurung bloody nails this weekend but completely failed since I did it last minute before going out -- probably not the best idea lol.
ReplyDeletelmao yes you need some patient :) I tried the blood drip nails but they didn't well either... so I opted for blood spatter instead
DeleteHow cute and yummy (the candy corn that is). I love those salon effects but I used them once and never use them again.
ReplyDeleteHow come? I don't use them very often (although I keep buying them) because I like to switch my nail polish up a lot
DeleteThese are SO cute! I like them better than my ghost strips! Followed & added you to my blog roll! xo
ReplyDeleteAw thanks!
