Now onto beauty boxes that don't rip you off (see this post - I'm still bitter). I subscribe to so many boxes that I often get asked if I had to pick one, which would I choose. It's hard to say but definitely one of my favorites is my Julep Maven box. I'm a nail polish addict so I enjoy receiving 2 nail polishes each month. They've expanded into beauty so now I enjoy a beauty product as well. I especially appreciate the effort they put into having a theme of each box then making the packaging fit into that theme. Take this month's box. They did a great job making everything orange and black, plus included candy corn!

Julep Nail Vernis in Eloise and Sabrina ($14 each) | Julep Quick Dry Polish Drops ($14) | Nail Art Glitter in Orange and Black | Extra: Halloween candy
There were some complaints that this month's box featured crackle nail polish with people saying that crackle is not a new or current trend. I agree but with Julep you can choose a different box or add another polish for a fraction of the price. I chose "American Beauty" because I felt I could use the orange crackle polish for Halloween-theme nails.
Loved the Halloween theme nail art glitter we received. How pretty are they?
These drops smell amazing because they include Vitamin E and Sweet Almond Oil to nourish and hydrate nails. The quick dry drops were a nice idea but I didn't find them that effective. Still nice to place on nails as conditioning drops.
Sabrina is a shimmery orange crackle polish launching this month. I put it on top of my Illamasqua nail polish in Taint (yep, will never get over that name) from my August Glossybox.
Eloise is a smokey indigo blue creme launching this month. Loved this blue color. I'm calling it Yankees blue. I'm very excited that they are the AL East champions!

Great stuff. I like the glitters. I wish I had the $ to sign up for those monthly boxes. I'm a nailpolish addict too. I usually buy 1 new nailpolish a week.
ReplyDeleteWell if you buy a nail polish a week you're probably spending more than the box costs. I like this box because it's $19 but a nail polish costs $14 so you automatically get your money's worth with two! Also, they have an introductory box for a penny ;)
DeleteI can't say enough about Julep either! I love the glitter you got- I went with the whole collection and got a white nd silver glitter. Thanks for posting the swatches! I can't wait to use them this weekend!! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh yes I saw your gorgeous collection hehe
DeleteI got the Boho Glam Box and It Girl. Yes I get two boxes per month. I am a polish lacquer Addict! I agree I love the packaging! Julep is amazing; I wish other polish brands would jump on the bandwagon. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteWow, I thought I had a lot of boxes hehe That would be cool if Zoya created a monthly box, I'd be obsessed!
DeleteA Zoya box, Butter London box, Nails Inc. box, Nars box, OPI box. I could go on and on and on hehehehe.
DeleteI love that you are an adventurous beauty box girl. I don't even let myself start with that because I know it could easily spin out of control--and I have more stuff than I can use as it is...can't wait to see your Halloween costume!
ReplyDeletexo Mary Jo
haha thanks :)
DeleteOh boy I haven't started thinking about Halloween costumes!
This is a nice box! I think i'm finally going to take the plunge and order one.
ReplyDeleteYEY!
DeleteJulep stuff is really looking great....glitters are looking so attractive to grab really, just can't resist to get this collection of shades....
ReplyDeleteohh i love eloise! how pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love it too - great navy color!
DeleteI love the orange crackle, it's so different! And I already added ONE color on, but if I did another it would have been Eloise! I really liked their themed box too :)
ReplyDeleteNice, I was tempted to add on another color but really don't need that many polishes hehe
DeleteGah, I'm always mad when I skip the month because each month is so good! Love the glitter that came in the boxes this month!
ReplyDeleteAw well you can always come back :)
DeleteThe glitter was such a fun touch! I went into the parlor for a mani and she used the drops on me. I didn't find them that effective either. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteKimberlee,
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I love that you have renamed Eloise- very fitting! How are you feeling about the suedes for next month?

Thesis writing involves several processes which makes the entirety of the experience both exciting and challenging. From choosing a researchable topic that has not been done by other students and eventually narrowing it down to become a uniquely original work to soliciting the help of a research supervisor and in embarking on data collection and writing the paper, these are some of the tasks that almost all undergraduate and graduate students working on a thesis consider as stressful. In spite of the many challenges that students have to put up with, undeniably, the thesis project is an important project-based and challenge-based educational experience that helps in building character and in preparing students for their chosen career. One particular skill that is indispensable and which perhaps is unknowingly cultivated among students as they work on a thesis is the ability to work with a group of superiors.
