BB Creams are a big trend happening in the beauty industry right now. I'm intrigued by them and have experimented with some including Boscia's B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++ and Smashbox's Camera Ready BB Cream. When I saw a sample in a magazine for L'Oreal's Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream, I thought I'd give it a try. The cheapest I could find it online was at Walmart.com for $7.96 but most stores sold it for around $10.
It comes out almost white and has a strong smell. Apply minimally because eventually it will darken on your skin.
The sample I received was "Light" which is the second darkest shade. Fair is the lightest so perhaps I would have better luck with that one. As you can see looks like a bruise on my hand where I swatched the item.
Here's the full look. I felt like the color was so orange on me. Thankfully just tried it on at home during the weekend so no one noticed my mismatched face. I'm wearing MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer, L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, and Naked Princess Naked Shine Luscious Lip Gloss from my October Goop Birchbox.
I definitely felt like it covered all the flaws and evened my skin tone. But just in a completely different shade. This shade was really dark so I'm not sure if "Fair" would be a close match. The best luck I had was with Smashbox.
Have you tried this BB Cream yet? What were your thoughts?
P.S. Excuse the cell phone pics. Broke my camera so I've been having to make due.

I've tried this and I found it to be way too dark as well and kind of hard to apply (it was a bit goopy and did't feel like it smoothed out well - if you know what I'm trying to say). I'm not a fan :o(
ReplyDeleteI hear ya. It was definitely too dark for me that I fear the next shade (the lightest) wouldn't even match up :/
DeleteI tried this over the summer when my skin was a little darker... in medium I think? And yeah, it was so orange! L'Oreal's other BB cream is supposed to be a million times better than this one so I might try that one next, but I think nothing beats the ones from Asia.
ReplyDeleteYeah so far all the drugstore ones have been lack luster. Definitely need to ship some from Asia!
DeleteI like this brand and "fair" worked for me. I didn't get an orange/yellow tint at all.
ReplyDeleteOh interesting... perhaps our samples were different?
DeleteI did loreal's BB cream and I LOVE it. it has made my skin look better as promised. I can't tell if my pores are smaller or dark spots diminished... It's totally weird to put on since it comes out white and turns tan. I have no idea what this stuff is but it's pretty cool.
ReplyDeletehaha it definitely is an unique formula as it turns color from white but you have to be careful not to over do it knowing that it will turn color otherwise you'll keep adding it because you're not seeing automatic results
Deleteim glad that BB creams are finally popular here as i've been ordering mine from asia for the past 3 years. lol. thanks for the product reviews!! im still looking to find a good BB cream!
