This month's Birchbox was in collaboration with Us Weekly and the theme is Step and Repeat. It's all about red carpet season. Here's what I received in my box:
Dr. Brandt pores no more® pore refiner (.25 fl oz/1 fl oz $45) | Beauty Protector Protect & Oil (4 oz $25.95) | Ruby Wing® Color Changing Nail Polish in Mini Kitten Heels (.25 fl oz/.5 fl oz $10) | Juicy Couture Couture La La Malibu Perfume (.05 fl oz/1.3 fl oz $52) | 32 Oral Care Effervescent Breath Crystals with IsoVoxy (2 .09 oz packets/15 pack $9.99)
These mouth crystals are like pop rocks in your mouth. It was super weird to try lol and is an interesting concept. But I think I'll stick to my Mentos if I want fresh breath.
This color changing nail polish features SolarActive® technology that allows it to change once exposed to sun. Inside it's a bright bubble gum pink while outside it becomes more of a rosy red. I didn't see much of a change but that's probably because NYC is a dark, dreary winter right now. Still like the inside color though.
"This silky, smooth formula glides onto clean skin or on top of makeup leaving an un-tinted, powder finish. Tea tree and flaxseed extract provide continuous pore refining benefits, while micro-spheres diffuse light and have a high oil absorption capacity so skin looks and feels smoother, more uniform and shine-free." Comparable to Benefit's POREfressional. It has that tea tree smell that I'm not particularly a fan of.
"This nourishing formula uses star ingredient argan oil to protect, strengthen, and add a pretty gloss to strands—all without heaviness. Armed with UV and heat protection, it stands up to two of our favorite past times: heat styling and spending hours in the sun." I like this oil. It's not too heavy so it doesn't weigh down my hair.
"Sparkling mandarin notes are highlighted with sweet pink sugar, creating a radiant fragrance that captures the casual-luxe spirit of Los Angeles." We all know my thoughts on Juicy Couture perfumes... lol.
